Environmental awareness for Mallorca’s youngsters

More than 6,200 young people in Mallorca took part in one of 256 environmental awareness courses run by GOB in 2009, according to an article on ABC.es. GOB (Grup Balear d’Ornitologia i Defensa de la Naturalesa) is dedicated to nature conservation and education.

The most successful education programme was the development of the monastery La Trapa (near Sant Elm, Andratx), where the youngsters took part in and contributed to the conservation of the area.
